And no, we absolutely do not encourage calorie counting, and instead show you how to read your body's natural cues.

Combining her passions of nutrition, culinary arts, fitness, and psychology, Joanna decided to turn these into something revolutionary for the Vancouver Health and Wellness scene in order to change the way that people think about improving their health. As a nutritionist with a special interest in psychology, she knows that deprivation is a sure-fire way to fail reaching those goals, and only fuels the rollercoaster of dieting, binging, and weight yo-yoing.
Having developed a line of delicious, 'naughty-tasting' meals and desserts congruent with nutritionally balanced eating plans, she founded Eat Your Cake to be the missing link between healthy eating and hectic lifestyles. Together with her partner Josh, who brought his technological and analytical background to ensure a great customer experience and manage the hard-working administrative team, they are offering a way for people to get healthy, lose weight, get fit, save time, have their cake (and eat it too!)
Chris Burton, Executive Chef
Award winning Chef Chris Burton has the West Coast in his blood. After attending Vancouver Island's culinary school he reached out to expand his repertoire as an apprentice at the celebrated four Seasons Vancouver.
Chef Burton then set out to hone his skills with new cuisines and ingredients. After travelling across North America and throughout the Caribbean he has returned home to share his passion and experiences for us to enjoy.
Vaness Nguyen, Registered Nutritionist/ Holistic Pastry Chef
Vanessa is a registered holistic nutritionist and holistic pastry chef at Eat Your Cake, and is passionate about making nutrition simple and approachable. She enjoys giving tips on how to maintain long term goals while keeping things fun; and focuses on using REAL, fresh, and local ingredients. Vanessa is the talented mastermind behind many of our amazing snacks and desserts. She graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition as a registered holistic nutritionist and certified holistic chef, and acquired her professional pastry and culinary diploma from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. She is available for personalized one-on-one and family consultations, as well as discussions about any illness’ or major health concerns you may have.
